# XLine

Stablecoin infrastructure layer.

## What is XLine?

XLine is the CCIP-orchestrated stablecoin infrastructure layer. It routes USDC across every chain Chainlink CCIP supports, any-to-any, including multi-hop paths when no direct lane exists.

USDC exists on most major chains, but it does not move freely between them. Each chain holds isolated liquidity, and moving value means selecting a bridge, evaluating its security model, and often accepting a wrapped variant. XLine removes that step. A chain or protocol integrates once and gains USDC movement to and from every other connected chain.

Key Features:

* Any-to-Any Routing: Route USDC between any two CCIP-enabled chains, resolved into a single path per transfer.
* Multi-Hop Paths: Where a direct lane exists, XLine routes through it. Where it does not, XLine constructs a multi-hop path across intermediate chains.
* Full Connectivity from One Integration: A chain connects to CCIP once. XLine maps the full network and handles reachability to every other connected chain. No need to establish individual lanes.
* Secured by Chainlink CCIP: Every path XLine constructs settles over CCIP and inherits its security model.

### How it works

XLine maps the full set of Chainlink CCIP lanes that exist between chains and treats them as a single routing network.

For each transfer, XLine resolves the path between the source and destination chain:

* Direct route when a CCIP lane exists between the two chains.
* Multi-hop route across intermediate chains when no direct lane exists.

Route selection, settlement, and completion happen inside the layer. The user or integrating protocol submits one transaction. The result is full network reachability without every chain pair requiring a direct connection.

### Secured by Chainlink CCIP

Every transfer routed through XLine settles over Chainlink CCIP.

CCIP is a cross-chain interoperability protocol built on Chainlink's decentralized oracle networks with a defense-in-depth security model. Cross-chain messages are independently verified by multiple oracle networks rather than a single bridge operator, and a separate Risk Management Network monitors transfers and halts execution on detection of an anomaly.

Because XLine does not operate a custom bridge, it adds no new trusted component. Transfers move over infrastructure that is already audited and in production use.

### For chains

A chain that integrates XLine gains bridgeable USDC and movement across the network without building or maintaining cross-chain infrastructure itself.&#x20;

For a newer chain, this provides mobile stablecoin liquidity from day one. For an established chain, it consolidates fragmented stablecoin variants into a single asset with a path to native USDC.

## Programmable Token Transfers

The Chainlink Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP) is far more than a simple token bridging solution. It’s a generalized cross-chain messaging protocol for transferring tokens (value), messages (data), or both tokens and messages simultaneously within a single cross-chain transaction—referred to as Programmable Token Transfers.

In effect, XPay Programmable Token Transfers enable smart contracts to transfer tokens cross-chain along with instructions on what the receiving smart contract should do with those tokens once they arrive on the destination chain. This revolutionary concept of wrapping value and instructions together allows tokenized value to interact automatically and dynamically once it arrives at a destination, opening up a world of new possibilities.

XPay Programmable Token Transfers enable to interact with smart contracts on other blockchain networks without needing to integrate or directly interact with that blockchain. All they need to do is send instructions to using XPay on how to interact with the selected blockchain smart contracts.

# Cross-chain Token Purchase

This page describes the repository with an example of the cross-chain token purchase.

## Overview

This application is extremely simple, to demonstrate how easy it is to integrate XPay. Assuming that the Dapp already has integration with the web3 wallet provider we will focus more on the XPay. For this example, the application is using RainboKit to connect the wallet. In the next section let's take a look at the XPay integration.

## Quick Start

To run the demo locally clone the repository, create a `.env` file by coping the `.env.sample`, and set the variables `VITE_INTEGRATOR_ID` (the framework requires the prefix VITE\_). If you don't have an integrator Id please [**Apply Here**](https://forms.gle/Y6kh19Bghtayt6FZ7)**.**

&#x20;Then using the npm package manager run the following command

After installing the dependencies start the dev server

## XPay Integration

In this demo, we use just one function from XPay, `openTransactionModal``.`

### openTransactionModal

Here is the function call from the project

Here we defined the `chain` and `token` that users will be able to buy as well as the `integratorId`. This function opens a modal for the user where they will be able to select the source chain and token for the transaction.&#x20;

Once the user approves the swap form, the modal will move to the execution view. The transactions contain optional approve and swap transactions which need to be signed by the user.&#x20;

After the swap transaction was confirmed on the source blockchain the cross-chain swap is in motion and we can monitor the transaction progress. Once the transaction is being delivered a notification will appear in the corner of the browser.

After the cross-chain message is delivered and executed the notification will change to green and disappear.&#x20;

XPay Integration using TxWidget

This example demonstrates how to integrate swap functionality directly into your website using the `TxWidget` component. By embedding the widget, users can interact with the swap interface directly on the page without needing a modal pop-up. Here's an example of how the component is implemented within the project:

**On-Page Chain and Token Selection**

Users can directly choose the source chain and token on the page. After confirming the transaction details, the component seamlessly manages transaction approval and execution.

#### **Wallet Connection Workflow:**

By default, the button displays "Connect wallet first," indicating that XPay expects the wallet to already be connected within the app. If an external provider is unavailable, you can set the `defaultWalletProvider` to `true`, allowing the widget to use a built-in wallet picker.

For example:

#### Enabling light mode

For a more versatile user experience, you can switch the swap widget to a light theme by enabling the `lightMode` prop. This is useful if your website predominantly uses a light color scheme, ensuring a consistent look and feel.

To activate the light mode, simply include the `lightMode={true}` prop in your component configuration:

#### Theme customization

In addition to enabling light mode, you can fully customize the appearance of the widget using the `styles` prop. The `styles` property allows you to pass a JSON string with custom styling options, following the same format as `ModalIntegrationStyles`. This gives you control over key UI elements such as colors and text styles.
